PRINCE'S: New Power Generation Announces Pittsburgh Show This Fall

While most artists are canceling tours, Prince’s former backing band,The New Power Generation, is remaining hopeful, announcing a new set of dates for the fall.

The group was supposed to hit the road this spring but postponed the dates due to the coronavirus. They’ve now announced a set of rescheduled shows, kicking things off on September 17thin Sioux Falls. They will also be stopping by Jergel's Rhythm Grille in Warrendale on September 24th.

Tickets for the new tour go on sale this week, although the band realizes they may be forced to postpone again.

“We do not take any of this lightly, and hope to be a part of bringing some joy to Prince fans as the country begins to reopen,” vocalistMacKenzieshares. “We know there are many unknowns and we will not do anything to put our fans (or ourselves) in harm’s way. But if it is indeed safe to proceed, we will do so in the most energetic and funky spirit possible.”
