Buyer of Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch Has Pittsburgh Connection

After several years on the market, there’s finally a buyer for Michael Jackson’s Neverland ranch.

Billionaire Ronald Burkle!

The same Ron Burkle who co-owns the Pittsburgh Penguins with Mario Lemieux!

The same Ron Burkle that was instrumental in building PPG Paints Arena.

And it sure sounds like Ron got the place for a huge discount too!

In 2016 it was listed for $100 million, but the price dropped to $67 million the next year. Ron scooped up Michael’s 2,700-acre property near Santa Barbara for $22 million!

There’s no word on what Burkle will do with the property, which boasts a 12,500 square-foot main home, a 3,700 square-foot pool house, 50-seat movie theater, and dance studio, as well as a train station, fire house and barn. He had reportedly been thinking of expanding Soho House to Zaca Lake, which is next to Neverland, but decided it was too remote and expensive.
