Jon Bon Jovi's son is choosing football over rock and roll.
Jesse Bongiovi has enrolled at Notre Dame University, where he plans to try out for the school's football team. It'll be tough for the young Bon Jovi, who didn't receive an athletic scholarship. Still, he hopes to play cornerback, a position well suited to someone who's a bit under six feet tall, but speedy.
CBSsports.com says Bongiovi is far from the first son of a pop star with gridiron dreams. Diddy's son Justin plays cornerback for UCLA. And Cornell Broadus, whose father is rapper-actor Snoop Dogg, has been recruited by several schools in the powerful Pac-12 conference.
