Huey Lewis, who loves his sports as much as his music, is asking Major League Baseball to get rid of "most, if not all" recorded music in its stadiums.
In comments published at TheTalkHouse.com, the San Francisco rocker makes a plea to return to a quieter and simpler atmosphere. Huey says, "The murmur of tens of thousands of people in a baseball park, vendors hollering about beer and hot dogs, along with the thrilling crack of a bat hitting a ball, an umpire's throaty call, and the occasional player’s whistle or cry of 'I got it!' is a wonderful symphony of sounds that we almost never get to hear anymore... Pre-recorded music doesn’t even sound good in these venues."
He's also down on the idea of ballplayers using music of their choice when they come to bat.
