So much for Sacha Baron Cohen playing Freddie Mercury in a bio-pic -- he's dropped out of the project over creative differences.
According to Deadline.com, Cohen wanted to create a gritty, R-rated film that depicted Mercury's highs and lows, but the remaining members of Queen are more interested in a positive portrayal of their late frontman. They've already vetoed a screenwriter and a number of directors that Cohen had brought in.
No word on whether this will kill the project.
