Sadie's a one-year old German Shepherd/Husky mix, who's at the Fallen Timber Humane Society location in Elizabeth.. her former family didn't have enough time to give her the attention she deserved, so she's waiting for an active family to take on this 45 lb. love puppy!

Thanks to your help, the Western PA Humane Society can count these successes for 2012:

• More than 5,600 pets found their new home.
• We saw 6,458 appointments and performed 6,320 surgeries in our low cost animal clinic.
• Our four humane investigations officers investigated more than 1,100 cases of animal abuse and neglect, rescuing 357 animals.
• Our humane educators visited more than 3,000 children, teaching them compassion, kindness and empathy.
• We trained more than 1,600 pets in obedience, making happier, healthier pets and owners!
