Gasoline prices just keep going up and there's a good chance they'll average $4 a gallon at the pump by Easter. After that, it's anyone's guess. Will they hit $5? How about $6?

It might sound crazy, but some gas stations in Florida are already getting close to that $6 mark. Yikes.

According to GasBuddy.com, here are some basic tips on getting the best gas prices:

  • Go Hi-Tech -- Use smartphone apps and websites (such as GasBuddy.com) to find the best price.
  • Seek and Find -- Drive a little farther to find the station with a better price.
  • Wednesdays -- Buy gas on Wednesdays. It's statistically the best price of the week.
  • Deals -- Check for partnerships between your gas station and other stores, like grocery stores
