All About T
I started working here at 94.5, 3-W-S in late August of 1985 as a part-time, weekend board operator. I was responsible for running the syndicated shows, "Dick Clark's Rock Roll & Remember" on Saturday mornings and Casey Kasem's "American Top Forty", which ran on Sunday mornings. I started working at the radio station just before entering the University of Pittsburgh. At Pitt, I was the afternoon disc-jockey and Program Director for the campus radio station.
It was in 1989 that I started working with Merkel in the mornings. I’ve known him since his first kid was a toddler!
I am from Bloomfield. My parents built a house in Penn Hills and we moved there when I was three. I graduated from Penn Hills Senior High. After college, I moved back to Bloomfield.
Nicknames: “T”, “Tree"
My favorite TV shows are "N.C.I.S.", "Law & Order: SVU"; Jon & Kate Plus 8; "Barefoot Contessa" on the Foodnetwork, and HGTV’’s “House Hunters”. Love HGTV. I also like to watch a lot of the local newscasts.
My favorite movies are The Bucket List,
Meet the Parents, Braveheart and Air Force One.
My hero is my father.
Role model is my mom.
My favorite musician is Paul McCartney. I also love listening to the Eagles, Earth, Wind, & Fire, Journey, Alicia Keys, John Legend, and John Mayer.
My favorite color is purple.
Favorite pastime…sleeping!
Favorite Sports: I love watching the Steelers.
I can do without people on your bumper (hey, stay a car’s length back!) and meter maids who daily ignore cars that should be ticketed.
